PRESENTATION OF THE CONCERT SEASON
Incontri Musicali - Fall Season 2024
(chamber music concerts)

The Chamber Music concerts of the 2024 autumn season of the Giardini La Mortella will start on the weekend of Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September, after the short summer break, under the Artistic Direction of Lina Tufano. The new autumn calendar will, as usual, focus on the presentation and valorization of young and very young performers of the highest musical level, all already active in the national and international field.

Like last year, this 2024 autumn season will also see some concerts in collaboration with the Accademia Filarmonica Romana and the musicians will be called to perform both in Rome, in the Sala Casella, and in Ischia in the Sala Recital of the Giardini La Mortella.

Like last year, this 2024 autumn season will also see some concerts in collaboration with the Accademia Filarmonica Romana and the musicians will be called to perform both in Rome, in the Sala Casella, and in Ischia in the Sala Recital of the Giardini La Mortella.

The inauguration will be entrusted to a Spanish violinist, Jacobo Christensen, a student of the great Salvatore Accardo at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona who will perform 2 solo violin recitals; then it will be the turn of one of the most appreciated British piano talents, Kyle Hutchings, a musician supported by the Keyboard Charitable Trust of London.

Extraordinary young pianists will alternate on the stage of La Mortella, such as Francois-Xavier Poizat, a talented Swiss pianist, awarded in prestigious international competitions and already a guest of the Walton Foundation concerts several times with great public success, Nicolas Giacomelli, who is perfecting himself at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and has already established himself in international competitions, as well as pianist Adriano Scapicchi and pianist Laura Licinio, a student of the Fiesole School of Music, who will hold the concerts on the last weekend of October, concluding the 2024 autumn season.

Of great originality and interest will also be the concerts for bassoon and piano of the duo formed by Enrico Bassi and Fabio Fornaciari and the concerts of the violin and cello duo Mara Paolucci and Jacopo Gaudenzi who are perfecting themselves at the Fiesole School of Music and who will offer the audience of La Mortella programs of rare listening. Finally, we should mention the concerts of the violin and piano duo formed by the very young Apulian violinist Paride Losacco, just 18 years old, and the pianist Luca Cianciotta, rising stars of international concert music.
