Giardini La Mortella

In 1956 Lady Walton asked the famous landscape architect Russell Page to provide a design for the layout of the garden that would include the dramatic volcanic rocks. The design of the garden was conceived with refinement and ability, taking advantage of the suggestive natural landscape with its openings towards the Mediterranean Sea.

Music activities

During the year there are three different concert seasons: in Spring and in Autumn the chamber music recitals are held on Saturdays and Sundays in the indoor Recital Hall; in Summer the Festival of Youth Orchestras with symphonic concerts held every Thursday evening in the Greek Theatre.

REMINDER FOR VISITORS

To safeguard visitors and staff the following rules must be respected at all times:

  1. It’s mandatory to follow the Anti Covid19 legislation.
  2. During the concert, a facemask must be worn at all times.
  3. The required social distancing, with at least 1 metre between visitors not from the same family group and from members of staff, must be respected at all times.
  4. Frequent handwashing is highly recommended, as is use of the sanitizing gel dispensers.
  5. Do not gather in groups.
  6. Visitor access may be regulated by our staff for safety reasons.
  7. Guides and tour operators must make sure that their groups respect the Anti Covid19 legislation.
  8. Our garden staff are authorized to enforce these rules.
  9. Any visitor breaking these rules or failing to comply with staff instructions will be immediately accompanied off the property. Their entrance ticket
    will not be reimbursed.
